Kawakami-an Top Soba in Aoyama

We walked past this Soba restaurant in the afternoon and commented that it looked like a lovely spot. Although we were hungry, we continued on to our original destination. The walnut soba lingered in our minds, and, a few days later, we ended up being taken to the same restaurant by a local friend! She mentioned that the Kabocha Tempura Soba (pumpkin) and Iro Soba (walnut soba noodles) are specialities of Kawakami-an, and they are well known for these dishes. We had a delightful lunch and strongly recommend Soba-Ya to anyone exploring the Aoyama district.
