As avid coffee enthusiasts, we searched extensively for a great espresso-based coffee in Hong Kong. The standout spot we discovered was Fuel Espresso, situated in the heart of Hong Kong.

Fuel Espresso was the only café that served a strong Americano, which they refer to as the Wellington Americano. For some reason, most coffee shops in HK pour their Americanos weak, resulting in a more unappetizing soft drink rather than the delicious flavor we were hoping for. In addition to the Americano, Fuel also offered delightful cappuccinos, piccolos, and espresso.

Fuel has two locations in Hong Kong, as well as a new café in Shanghai. We often visited the one on the third floor of the IFC mall. This cozy spot provided a welcome escape from the bustling environment, boasting friendly staff and excellent jazzy background music.
